Elizabeth Yeaman, Managing Director of Retyna, has a rare mix of technical, communications, strategy, policy design and implementation experience. She has worked in the renewable energy and transport fields for over 30 years in both the private and public sectors.

» Elizabeth Yeaman, Managing Director
Liz has worked in the transport and energy sectors for over 30 years, with a focus for the last decade on e-mobility. Prior to founding Retyna in 2018, she was the General Manager Transport at the New Zealand Government’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA). She led EECA’s Electric Vehicle Programme including the design and implementation of the Low Emission Vehicles Contestable Fund and the EV Information Programme. Liz has been a Director of ChargeNet NZ Ltd, New Zealand’s largest EV Charge Point Operator, and is CharIN Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand.
Liz has a Master’s degree in Natural Resource Engineering (Renewable Energy), is a Fellow of Engineering New Zealand, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and a Member of the Institute of Directors. She is based in Wellington, New Zealand.

» Mette Hoé, Associate
Mette is an accomplished professional experienced in initiating and delivering innovative projects within climate change adaptation and sustainable transport planning, such as e-mobility projects, low emission zones and decarbonization strategies. She has contributed to large-scale development projects and led numerous impactful projects, emphasizing innovative solutions for low-emission communities. She has worked as an expert adviser for the European Commission as part of the Sustainable Transport Forum and has more than 15 years of working experience in the public sector with policy measures, strategy planning and Road Map development.
Mette has a Master’s degree in Technological and Socio-Economic Planning, is certified in global sustainable leadership and in Universal Design (Accessibility for All). She is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

» Andrea Persico, Associate
Andrea has five years professional experience in the EV and Charging Infrastructure sectors, working on diverse projects around Australia. She specialises in Fleet Transition planning and driver education, and has worked on charging infrastructure specification for large markets. Andrea has a thorough technical understanding of EVs, charging, and energy markets, and is an effective communicator, facilitating organisational change and driver education. Early career experience included managing a lighting specialist electrical wholesaler, and running a tourism fleet of vintage cars in Tuscany. She is passionate about social equity and climate action.
Andrea has a BA in Communications, and has undertaken further studies in project management and fleet management. She is based in Hobart, Australia.

» Niels Hoé, Associate
Niels focuses on Active Mobility (cycling and walking) and how that integrates and plays a vital role in society. He draws on over 20 years of work experience in both the public and private sectors, including the City of Copenhagen, the Danish State Railways and Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency. Niels works from a holistic view and across disciplines, putting human beings at the centre of functionality and design. In recent years, the emergence of e-bikes has increasingly played a role as a gamechanger for active mobility and e-bikes are now an integral part of many of Niels’ projects.
Niels has a Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Transport, and a Bachelor in Cultural Geography. He is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

» Martin Garrood, Associate
Martin has three decades of experience: 10 years of scientific research followed by20 years in sustainable energy, including renewables, energy efficiency, and sustainable transport. During the last 10 years he has worked at the nexus of strategy, policy and technical, with many developing Pacific Island Countries to help governments and utilities towards their sustainable energy goals. He is particularly well-regarded for the way he brings stakeholders together and champions the views of Pacific Islanders, and for his coordination of development partners. He has an extensive network of contacts in the Pacific Islands built on a foundation of mutual respect and understanding.
Martin holds a Master’s degree achieved with distinction in Renewable Energy Systems and Technology and a First-Class Honours degree in Physics. He is based in Wellington, New Zealand.
